  Leibniz’s concept of the monad as a unique and independent entity, capable of internal activity, inspired this series. These single vignettes allow the white of the paper to act as a presence and a felt materiality in the drawing. As in earlier work, I fashioned a correspondence between my personal experience and cultural ideas. Click on image to enlarge.
