An Insufficiency in Our Screens is based on Leibniz’s idea of the screen as the intervening mechanism that sorts the One from the Many. As well, mediated information from television and computer screens flow into our everyday lives about the world. From these two ideas of the screen—the metaphysical and the physical--I experience a sense of disquiet about what actual events may emerge, a disquiet that motivated this series of drawings.
